Ever since he was a child, Fulvio Ameglio has always breathed the aromas of desserts and pastries – his father was the director of a great pastry shop in La Spezia, and his brother is an excellent pastry-maker. At age fifteen, he was already working among cakes, cannoli, and millefoglie. Today, at age 40, he runs the Pasticceria Perla in Levanto, in the old town, on Piazzetta del ”mugugno”.
Among the many delicacies that he proposes, the most famous are the Cinque Terre cake; his “Meringata” meringues; sailors’ bread “Pane del marinaio”; and the “Perlina” cake made with puff pastry, almonds, pine nuts, marzipan dough, and…the secret that each good pastry-maker keeps to himself.
Ameglio uses only prime materials of the best quality which have been worked using artisan methods which guarantee the excellence of his products.
Pasticceria Perla has always specialized in desserts for every ceremonial event: baptisms, communions, weddings, and every moment of celebration.
