Mauro Fioravanti began his photographic career in the early 1980s. After a master's degree at the Click Up school of professional photography in Florence and later at the University of Genoa's course for advanced and refresher courses in photography, in 1995 he started his activity as a professional photographer.
In his 25 years of activity, he has tried to tell the story of the marvellous landscape of the 5 Terre in Liguria, included in the Unesco World Heritage List, through images.
He has received prizes and awards in various national and international photography competitions and has exhibited his work in several cities including New York, Genova, Bologna, La Spezia, Carrara, Vico del Gargano and others. He teaches photography on which he has written several books. His images are on display in the Art photo Gallery in Monterosso al Mare, the westernmost village of the 5 Terre.
