'The passion for reviving everything that is broken came to me when I was 12 years old'
FrancescaOlcese's workshop, a graduate in Modern Literature from Genoa, specialised at
the Institute of Art and Restoration of Palazzo Spinelli in Florence, a
restorer by choice and passion since the age of 22, is located in Salita San Matteo,
in the heart of Genoa's historical centre where you can breathe an ancient air
full of humanity, history and culture.
"I
deal with the restoration of archaeological materials, ceramics, porcelain,
glass, marble, metal, stucco, slate, ivory, and semi-precious stones, working
with both conservative (which I confess I prefer) and antiquarian techniques
for both private individuals and cultural organisations, and for this reason I
am accredited with the Superintendence for Architectural and Landscape Heritage
of Liguria".
