The Rudasso family has for many generations cultivated it own olive groves in the Arroscia Valley, harvesting the Taggiasca olives and crushing out their oil in its own olive oil press, used exclusively by them.
Respect for tradition is strongly rooted at the heart of the farm which has never abandoned the old methods of growing crop. As a consequence, this choice has permitted them to obtain certification as organic agriculture.
From November to March, the olives ripen and are harvested. The olive oil press is open to visitors so that they can follow the process from the pressing to the tasting of the new oil.
In the old farmhouse which also holds the olive oil press, Azienda Agricola Rudasso places at the disposition of its guests comfortable apartments in rustic style, for those who wish to spend vacations surrounded by the green Ligurian hills, only 20 minutes from the sea.
The building which faces on the farmyard holds a collection that exhibits the working and the use of iron in the peasant civilization, a testimony to local history and culture through the observation of instruments of work.
