La Finestrella di Montalto is a typically Ligurian restaurant located in an ancient monastery.
The cuisine emphasizes seafood, but does not forget game and special meats like the Chianina and Angus. Among its most famous dishes are “spaghetti al granchio” crab spaghetti, “ linguine all’astice” lobster linguine, and their “ caramelle alla brezza di mare” (sea breeze caramels), “pappardelle ai porcini, castagne e frutti di bosco” (with mushrooms, chestnuts, and berries) “ and the “ Plin al Castelmagno e tartufo” (truffles).
Its inn, La Finestrella di Montalto Locanda has two double rooms and one single that are all furnished in “poor art” style with old wrought-iron beds, and they have their own bathrooms, HD satellite TV, internet (wi-fi), netbook, swap book, and safes. A bike-rent Club is at guests’ disposition, along with covered parking.
La Finestrella di Montalto is on the Legambiente Turismo list of recommended places. It has received the quality prize, Premio Qualità 2012.
