Artisan chocolate and ice cream makers, “Il Cerchio dei Golosi”, is a young company founded by Stefano Formentini who has great experience in the restaurant sector, and his associate, Maria Corinna Bernabò, who has achieved chef qualifications at the Istituto Alberghiero della Spezia, and has a passion (and is an expert) in the decoration of cakes. Maria Corinna, in addition to attending many courses, was also (before she joined the company) the winner of the “Chocolate Desserts” contest (under the aegis of the Confartigianato della Spezia) for two years running.
The company’s mission is – for ice cream – to make a natural ice cream, made from fresh prime materials using artisan methods and quality heirloom products (such as pure pistachios from Bronte, and IGP hazelnuts from the Langhe). For chocolate, they wish to make cakes, sponge cakes, ice cream, and soft ice cream that is unique. “Our imagination and our clients’ requests lead to unique cakes that are different each time.”
