Gierre was established in 1979 when Giampaolo Rizzo, its founder,
decided to open a small workshop in the heart of the historic centre of Campo
Ligure, the birthplace of Filigree Jewellery. Since 1994, the company has
expanded beyond the national borders into the foreign markets of the United
States, Germany, France and Japan.
Between 2009 and 2017, it was awarded the
"Artigiani in Liguria - Filigrana di Campo Ligure - Classe Superiore"
mark by the Liguria Region, implemented important internal changes, and opened
its second sales outlet in the historic centre of Genoa.
Not only that, the
jewels are also sold online on its website, where customers can view the steps
of the manufacturing process and the calendar of fairs where it is possible to
meet the craftsman.
