Anna Flora Sturlese has learnt to love art and wood through the works of her grandfather, who was a famous sculptor, cabinet-maker and painter. Endowed with unquenchable curiosity and a variety of interests and talents, Anna Flora defines herself as a modern Geppetto (Pinocchio’s father). She started her professional career over ten years ago, immediately specialising in the conservative restoration and gilding of antique furniture.
Anna Flora also decorates ceramic and glass and makes trompe l’oil and wall decorations to order. In her workshop she hand-decorates a variety of objects, like trays, frames, and wonderful wood and leather photo albums, taking inspiration from nature, where she says she finds all the possible forms of beauty which have always been at the origin of art.
